Survey/CAD Technician
Our Victoria office is seeking a Survey/CAD technician to join our team. Candidates with experience in surveying drafting and design work are preferred.
Key job activities:
- Create a variety of survey plans and drawings using AutoCAD, including legal survey plans, strata plans, topographic and construction survey plans, site plans, and more.
- Complete calculations, survey computations, legal searches, and research
- Coordinate and direct field crews on project requirements as needed
- Working as a member of a team, including a project manager (BCLS), other technicians, and field crews
Required skills and experience:
- Proficient with AutoCAD/Micro Survey/Civil 3D
- Posses a working understanding of legal surveying requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaison effectively between project managers, colleagues, and clients
- The ability to problem solve, make decisions, and prioritize tasks
Preferred skills and experience:
- Prior experience working as a CAD or Survey Tech in the legal surveying field
- Experience working with all levels of government, construction contractors, developers, and property owners
- The ability and willingness to provide field work support if necessary

Job details:
- Approximately 40 hours a week with flexible start/finish times within standard working hours.
- This position requires in person attendance.
- Wage range is $30-33/hour to start, based on experience.
- Relocation allowance available if applicable.
