Civil Engineering Tech
Our Victoria office is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering tech to join our team of engineering and surveying professionals. Candidates with an AScT designation and experience in civil engineering drafting and design work using Civil 3D or related programs are preferred.
Key job activities:
- Civil design and drafting work
- Developing plans and reports
- Site reviews/inspections and construction support
- Assist in the preparation of proposals, costs estimates, and project scheduling
- Coordinate and direct field crews on project requirements as needed
- Working as a member of a team, including engineers, surveyors, other technicians and technologists, and field crews
Required skills and experience:
- Proficiency with Civil 3D/AutoCAD software
- A working understanding of civil engineering design and infrastructure projects including water and wastewater systems, storm water and drainage infrastructure, sanitation systems, and road design
- A strong understanding of engineering principles, practices, and standards
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with project managers, colleagues, and clients
- The ability to problem solve, make decisions, and prioritize tasks
Preferred skills and experience:
- Prior experience working as a Civil Tech or similar role in the civil construction and/or land development industry
- Registrant in good standing with ASTTBC
- Experience working with government, construction contractors, developers, and property owners

Job details:
- Approximately 40 hours a week with flexible start/finish times within standard working hours
- This position requires in person attendance
- Wage range is $35-40/hour
- Relocation allowance available if applicable
